What service do we offer?

When we complete and submit your Income Tax Return, we will do the following:

  • See that your return meet all the requirements

  • Ensure that you claim all possible expenses

  • See that your return is submitted in time

  • Do a calculation on your tax refundable / payable

  • Query your tax assessment should it differ from our calculation, lodge disputes and supporting documents if requested by SARS - with no additional fee payable!

What do we need from you?

From this year onwards, no supporting documentation is required with your income tax return.  You must however, be able to provide SARS with supporting documentation should they ask for it.  You must store this supporting documentation for at least 5 years.

For us to be able to complete your income return, you must furnish us with the following documentation (copies - you must keep the originals in a safe place) as well as your Personal Details & Income Tax Reference Number.

  • IRP5 or IT3(a) certificate

  • Interest received certificate (An IT3(b) certificate (if applicable) - Issued by financial institutions for interest, dividends received etc.)

  • CGT - Information regarding base cost & selling price if you sold your primary residence or rental property during the tax year

  • Sales of Shares

  • Detail of income from rentals and/or other business income where no IRP5 of IT3(a) certificates were received

  • Retirement annuity contribution certificate (if applicable)

  • Income Protection Plan Contribution certificate

  • Medical aid contributions certificate

  • Any other documentation to substantiate claims like medical expenses & travel allowances

  • Donations allowed in terms of S18(a) of the Income Tax Act

  • Signed Power of Attorney to authorize us to complete your income tax return on your behalf

NB!!!  If you are a PROVISIONAL TAX PAYER, you must also provide us with copies of your Provisional Tax Returns for 2011 for us to be able to do an accurate taxation calculation.

When is my Income Tax Return due?

Income tax returns for individuals are due on 25 November 2011 when submitted via E-Filing.  Everybody that received a Income Tax Return (IT12) form SARS, MUST submit their return, regardless of whether you received income during the tax year or not.  Non-submission of returns will result in a fine of R300 for first offenders.
